THE ROYAL NAVAL PHILATELIC SOCIETY ANNOUNCE THE ISSUE OF THEIR FORTHCOMING COVER RNSC(8)16 “THE 70th ANNIVERSARY OF RNAS YEOVILTON”
The Royal Naval Philatelic Society located at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard under the Presidency of Admiral Sir Desmond Cassidi GCB will issue a limited edition of 500 Commemorative Covers only to mark this occasion.
There will be four unsigned and three signed versions of this Limited Edition Cove. Prices stated are for non members. Membership of the Society attracts a 50% reduction of covers prices stated.
All covers will be accompanied by 20 Page, Illustrated Booklet to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of RNAS Yeovilton, written by Commander Richard Seymour AFC Royal Navy. Community Relations Officer, RNAS Yeovilton. The stamps used throughout are as stated below, and will be cancelled using our own sponsored postmark BFPS Postmark 3104 dated 10th July 2010.
Plain Cover No Signatures Stamp Used 1st Class value Second Officer WRNS 1918 stamp from the Royal Mail set Naval Uniforms Issued 17th September 2009. Limited and numbered from 001 to 175 at a cost of £10:90 each.
Special Covers No Signatures Stamp Used all three 1st Class value stamps from the Royal Mail set Naval Uniforms Issued 17th September 2009. Limited and numbered from 001 to 080 at £17:00 each.
Multi Signed Covers Stamp Used 1st Class value SG1516 White Ensign from the Royal Mail set Flags re-issued 27th July 2004. Limited and numbered from 001 to 020 at £52.00 each.
Extra Special/Triple Signed Stamp Used 1st Class value stamp Captain 1941 from the Royal Mail set Naval Uniforms Issued 17th September 2009. Limited and numbered from 001 to 085 at £21.00 each.
Double Signed Stamp Used 1st Class value Flight Deck Officer 2009 from the Royal Mail set Naval Uniforms Issued 17th September 2009. Limited and numbered from 001 to 140 at £15.30each.
